The Adler Planetarium “Mobile Outreach Exhibit” is a project I gave myself to exercise my design thinking. This is purely a hypothetical design, and I was in no way contracted by Adler to do this. By the way, you should visit Adler’s website and follow them on social media!

This “Mobile Outreach Exhibit” is a way for Adler educators and astronomers to connect with the community and spread some knowledge. The idea is that the booth would be easily collapsable and fit inside an Adler Planetarium outreach van. Members of the public can come up to the booth and speak with an educator and learn more about upcoming Adler events.

I am not a designer for the Adler Planetarium (though I would love to be!) so I don’t have access to branding material. What I do have access to is their website. I also used an image I took of the 2017 solar eclipse. I pulled a lot of aesthetic cues from their website and utilized them in a way to make this design feel seamless with their established brand.
